Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create an account?

No. Orbit Master has no login, no account, and no cloud sync — it opens straight to your files.

Does my audio ever leave my Mac?

No. Every analysis and processing step — repair, enhancement, mastering — runs locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

If I delete the app and reinstall it, do I have to pay again?

No. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID, not to one install. Reinstalling from the Mac App Store — on the same Mac or a different one signed in with the same Apple ID — is always free, including through "Purchased" in the App Store app.

What file formats are supported?

Import: WAV, AIFF, FLAC, CAF. Export: WAV, FLAC, or MP3 — your original source file is never overwritten.

A file I already mastered in Orbit Master shows as locked when I reopen it — why?

Once a file reaches release-ready quality through Orbit Master, it's marked as mastered (a real marker embedded in the file itself) and processing controls lock to prevent accidentally running the full chain a second time on already-processed audio. To process a fresh take, start from your original source file instead.

What Mac hardware does it run on?

Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
